I also wanted to report to you that I am totally thrilled with the 16" f/4.5 you built for me. I can't praise you craftsmanship enough. The scope move smoothly in both axis. The fit and finish are superb. The Sky Commander is working perfectly. My friend,who has an Argo Navis,was amazed that I was finding every object all night long after just a two star alignment. He says that is proof of a perfect orthogonal alignment of the two axis,something that is not easily achieved.
Everyone loves the sedona red stain-the scope is truly beautiful. Thanks again for being so great to deal with and for delivering my scope on schedule. I 'll be sure to sing your praises whenever I go to star parties.

Recently I had chance to get out for some serious stargazing with my AstroSky 16" dob.
I even had the privilege to have James himself and some other close friends observe with me. I must say how I each time I use my AS 16" I totally satisfied with the workmanship of this scope. First and foremost is the ease of collimation of this scope. For a scope that has to break down after every observing session this scope is a breeze to collimate and holds collimation dead on throughout the night. James's tailgate design work well with large knobs that are easy to work with. The next critical area would be ease of movement. I've used other dobs in the past and I can say for sure that this scope moves effortlessly in both axes. To hold an object in the middle of the eyepiece is really quite effortless..You get to a point that you don't even really realize that you are doing it. Very nice. My AS 16" in conjunction with my Sky Commander there is no limit on what one can observe on any given night. James does an excellent job of installing any accessories that one requests on his scopes. Finally the craftsmanship of James's scopes are one of the best bang for the bucks out there. I looked at other scopes while I was shopping around for my dob and weighed all the options. I eventually come back to AstroSky for my final choice. Glad I did. I highly recommend James and AstroSky if you're in the market for a new dob.

I know that all of us who owns one of your scopes really appreciates the quality of your craftsmanship and attention to detail. My 20" not only has the finish of fine furniture but is rock solid yet moves with little effort.But what is equally important is the way you responded to my endless questions,always taking the time never in a rush,and the pictures you took the time to send of the scopes progress was super. Thanks for giving my 20" f/4 mirror the fantastic home it deserves. I'll tell anyone who is looking for a fine dob,talk to James he'll treat you right.
